The Long Story
Wala`au is the Hawaiian word meaning to talk, or converse, sometimes too much.
I love technology for how it enriches our lives and makes it better. That being said, I also really love quiet time with my wife Ann even more. I have a daughter Jessica, two step sons, Bill and Jory and two young grandsons Billy and Ian
After years of rampant consumerism, I‘ve adapted new simpler lifestyle. I’ve watched my parents struggle with piles of a lifelong accumulation of possessions. How much stuff do we really need? Just Enough.
I love reading about American History, especially the first 100 years.
I started Wala`au Media to help small businesses join the digital connected world. I build them new or rebuild old websites, connect them to social media and provide other digital solutions as needed. I also do content strategy and management for local business and I do this all at a cost they can afford and the best part is, unlike traditional web developers, stay involved. I love the passion of my clients and translate it to the web.
I grew up on O`ahu and have lived on Hawaii Island since 1992. I owned a cafe in Hilo (Canoes Cafe) for 9 years.
My Philopsophies
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, a burger in one hand and a beer in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming...Damn, What a ride!.
I am definitely a "glass half full" person
This one kind of says it: "For myself I am an optimist - it does not seem to be much use being anything else... ” Sir Winston Churchill (1874–1965)
